Manta Queen 8 presents a newly-renovated scuba diving liveaboard experience that offers affordable luxury and access to the splendid dive sites of the southern Andaman region. The vessel features three distinct cabin types, including twin and double cabins on both the main and upper decks, each with private bathrooms and ample space. Additionally, there are twin cabins on the lower deck that share a bathroom, providing options to suit various preferences and budgets.
Renowned among dive staff in Thailand, SIMILAN ISLAND LIVEABOARD MANTA QUEEN 8’s size, layout, amenities, and cabin comfort ensure that all guests feel at ease during their journey. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and great value has made this boat an instant success, often resulting in fully booked trips. To enhance your experience, Manta Queen 8 now offers complimentary Wi-Fi when in range.
Notably, the liveaboard now departs from Krabi during the high season and Pak Bara, Satun during the low season, setting sail in the evening and arriving at the dive sites by the following morning. The trips are consistently 5 days and 5 nights in duration, with a gradual progression from easy dive sites to more thrilling underwater adventures.
It’s worth noting that some websites may have outdated information or inaccurately claim trip lengths of 6 days and 5 nights or 5 days and 4 nights. As of October 2023, the boat departs from Krabi for five nights and five days (5D/5N) during the high season, while shorter trips are available at Koh Lipe in the low season (June – October).
In addition to the comfortable cabins, Manta Queen 8 boasts spacious communal areas perfect for relaxation and socialization. These include a large partially-shaded sundeck and a well-appointed dining area with ample seating and tables, where guests often spend their non-diving time. There’s also an inviting air-conditioned lounge saloon for added comfort.
For diving enthusiasts, the boat features a generous dive platform that easily accommodates equipment storage and provides convenient access for divers. Tender dinghies are available for collecting divers surfacing away from the boat or near the reef, as well as for transporting guests to picturesque beaches during the trip.
