 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I first heard about Aum Scuba at a beach cleanup they organized, and that’s what got me interested in diving. Nigel gave us really detailed advice on which course would be best, and also arranged a wonderful Russian-speaking instructor for us, since we were a bit worried about fully understanding everything in English. So if you speak Russian, this dive school is a great fit for you too! We had an amazing time on the Open Water course — did several dives, practiced all the skills, and in the end got our certificate so we can continue our diving adventures. Everything was spot on right from pick-up, bus, boat, support staff on the boat and eventually, i had a great time and hope to come back again for a basic level course. My two kids did their Open Water Certification with AUM and really loved it. Elisa was their teacher and really enjoyed every Dive. I did quite a few dives with Nigel and he took some amazing Underwater photos of us. All in all we had a wonderful time and my kids felt very safe at every step of the way with AUM I highly recommend them.

Couldn’t have asked for a better setup. I wanted to shake off the rust, get my confidence back, and Nigel handled that exactly how you’d want a dive instructor to—precise, calm, no fluff. He walked me through every skill patiently, didn’t rush anything, and made sure I was actually ready before we moved on. We did three dives across the Racha Yai and Racha Noi sites. Great conditions, good visibility, and a solid variety of marine life. The boat itself was spacious, clean, and well-organized—plenty of room to gear up without the usual chaos. What stood out about Nigel was his attention to detail. He wasn’t just checking boxes; he was making sure you were thinking clearly underwater and that you felt solid in the water again. Never overbearing, always tuned in. If you’re coming back to diving after a break or just want a dependable guide who knows what he’s doing, I’d strongly recommend diving with him. We booked a 3-dive day trip to the Racha Islands in July, and despite it being the 'green season', the conditions were fantastic and the service was top-notch from start to finish. If you're searching for the best dive center in Phuket, you can stop looking. Our dive guide, Nigel, was a true professional and made the day exceptional. His pre-dive briefings were thorough, clear, and focused on safety, which immediately put us at ease. Underwater, he was a master at spotting marine life we would have completely missed – from tiny, colourful nudibranchs to a moray eel peeking out from its home. He managed our small group perfectly, making everyone feel safe and comfortable. Having an expert guide like Nigel truly elevates the entire Phuket diving experience. The dive sites at Racha Noi and Racha Yai were spectacular. We did three dives, and each one was unique. The visibility at Racha Noi was excellent, and we enjoyed a beautiful, gentle drift dive along a vibrant coral reef teeming with fish. Racha Yai offered some fun swim-throughs and an incredible density of marine life. The boat was spacious and comfortable, and the crew was incredibly helpful, assisting with gear and making water entry and exit a breeze. We were initially a bit hesitant about diving in Phuket in July, as it's known as the monsoon season. However, Aum expertly chose the dive sites based on the day's conditions. The sea was much calmer than we expected, and the experience was flawless. The best part about off-season diving? Fewer boats and smaller groups! It felt like we had the reef all to ourselves. Overall, this was a 5-star diving day trip. From the easy booking process to the delicious Thai lunch served on board, the fantastic boat crew, and our amazing guide Nigel, Aum diving exceeded all our expectations. For anyone planning a Phuket diving adventure, we can't recommend them highly enough. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

I'm From New Zealand , have never gone for a Fun Scuba Dive before,  I messaged Nigel about the Scuba dive & course at the same time , Nigel was quick to reply and made the effort to come see me in person , He recommended I do the Scuba diving try dive and if I enjoy that then sign up for the open water ticket course  , His instructor on the day made me feel super comfortable and made the whole process so simple for me to understand , I signed up for the course instantly , I'm really happy to have my Open Water ticket now , If your in or around Rawai or even the whole of Phuket for that matter I definitely recomend him and his team , this experience has opened me up to a whole new world to explore ! From first response to my enquiry to book my daughter and her partner on their Open Water Course. Constant communication throughout, to the day we landed in Phuket. Nige came to visit us at our accommodation the day before the course started to size us up for our equipment and arranged transport to the port to meet the dive boat.
